The Grounds
Perched high on a finger ridge of the Eastern Continental Divide, in a gorgeous pristine area of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Kilkelly's provides amazing long-range views that fiercely rival those seen from nearby Blue Ridge Parkway overlooks. In this unique 22-acre setting, you are surrounded by tall mountains and deep valleys, while also privately nestled among flowers and gardens.
Sunrises and sunsets are varied and magnificent. It's also a perfect place to experience dramatic weather changes and cloud formations -- above you and below! And at night, it's a star gazer's dream. With no city lights, the stars are bright and plentiful. There are no highways nearby, or traffic noise to interfere with orchestral sounds of nature. There is an abundance of wildlife to be observed through provided binoculars.
The Kitchen
Kitchens at both locations are fully stocked with high end equipment including clear ice makers, full oven and range, microwave, Keurig coffee maker with pods, , cookware, and full service dinnerware.
The Bathrooms
Both locations have spacious walk in showers* with luxury shower heads and hand sprayers. Auxiliary bathroom heaters and plush towels give s spa like feel.
Double sinks and deluxe necessities are located in the suites of both The West Wing and The Cabin.
*The West Wing has a walk in for two and The Cabin has a spacious single.
The Bedrooms
We want you to rest easy here. Both properties have 2 King bedroom suites with luxury mattresses, Primaloft comforters, and 800 thread count sheets, extra throw blankets and an abundance of pillows.
The Entertainment
The Cabin has a full size shuffleboard table. The West Wing has a billiards room (for Adult use only). Both properties have a private fire pit as well as being within walking distance to another larger one. Both properties have access to a 45 foot rope swing, a standard swing set, and a regulation size horseshoe pit seated in the middle of the grounds. There is also access to nearby walking trails, streams, and cascades.
The Blue Ridge Parkway entrance at Bamboo Gap is only 1/3 mile away, and Boone and Blowing Rock are mere minutes away.
Appalachian Ski Mountain is also only 6 miles away.
The Coop
Meet the 29 heritage hens at the Chicken Coop or free ranging in the gardens. Upon request we will leave farm fresh eggs for you to enjoy. We also offer educational experiences that you can book through us directly or through Airbnb.
