We have been renting mountain cabins for many years and this is by far our best experience yet. Joanie and Gary were amazing hosts, property amenities were perfect, mountain vistas absolutely breathtaking and the privacy/peacefulness was more than we expected. Honestly every detail was in place for a wonderful stay. We will definitely return with family and friends. Thank you for having the vision for creating this beautiful property.

I booked this trip so my kids could experience snow - and my little Florida babies got plenty of snow. We spent two days snowed in, but enjoyed every minute. We even took the sleds down the hill a few times. The west wing property and house is beautiful. The hosts are more than accommodating. My parents enjoyed watching the birds and snow out of the huge windows on both sides of the house. I am thankful to be back in Florida with the mosquitoes, but my kids will never forget this experience.

Never mind. No word accurately describes this place. We spent the first three days of a five-night stay in awe at the jaw-dropping, long-range mountain view and the delightful, spacious, well-thought-out design of the cabin. Add to that total privacy (except for the abundance of wildlife--birds, rabbits, chipmunks) and the absolutely charming owners (Gary and Joanie Kilkelly) and your perfect stay is guaranteed. I speak where my money is. Wife and I have already booked for 2023 and 2024. You should also--if you can find a vacancy, that is.

This was my family’s second time staying at the Kilkelly’s property. Our first stay was in the West Wing, which is just as amazing as the cabin. Our stay at the cabin was nothing less than amazing!! The cabin is beautifully decorated and omg the views!!! Unbelievably breathtaking. I promise, you will not find a better home to relax and enjoy nature’s beauty. My three young children enjoyed exploring the property and swinging on the infamous tree swing (and yes, I enjoyed it too). Joanie is absolutely the most sweetest and thoughtful host too! She goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable and memorable. Look no further, this is the place to book! You will not regret it!!!!

The cabin and surrounding grounds are absolutely AMAZING. Sunrises are breath taking. Owners are beautiful people. We had a fantastic Christmas vacation and will definitely be back!!!

What a beautiful place to relax and enjoy our weekend! The West Wing Condo did not disappoint. This was our second stay at Kilkelly’s. We stayed in the Cabin last year and both are wonderful. We already have reservations here for our next trip. The only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer!

The property is absolutely gorgeous! There were views from every window in the wing! The owners were very helpful and Joanie even offered to cook my turkey if it didn’t fit in the convection oven. The kitchen had plenty of pots and pans and even had a crockpot for my turkey breast! I honestly can say that there was not anything about our trip that did not meet or exceed our expectations. We had a beautiful snow and that was exactly what we prayed for. Thank you Joanie and Gary for sharing your little slice of heaven with us. We hope to come back again in the future.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Kilkelly residence. The 360 views were unparalleled to any other mountain trip we have taken. The West Wing was very clean, well stocked, and as we found child friendly. We went with our 1, 3 and 5 year olds who still, 2 weeks later, talk about "the mountain house." The owners were responsive to any questions we had. The place was quiet and the grounds were enough to explore all on our own. We felt we were deep in the mountains, but loved the convenience of being only 10 minutes from downtown Boone, making food delivery and grocery trips and quick and feasible option. We had a great time around the pool table, and just sitting in the cozy chairs staring at the mountains. We cannot say enough good things. This would be a place we would choose to return to.

This is one of those properties that I don't even want to review b/c I don't want too many people to know about it. Ha!
This is an incredible property. Those pics look amazing, but it's nothing compared to what you see when you pull up to the cabin, much less step out on the back porch. Stunning! The cabin was great to, well equipped, clean and great amenities.
Look forward to getting back.
